Key Scripture: Amos 5:24 (NIV)
24But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never failing stream.
General Prayer Focus: Children in Thailand
Specific Prayer Focus: Protection from exploitation
Tidbit of Information: “Pray for the protection of innocent children in Thailand who are at risk of being sold into prostitution and the drug industry. Pray for the church in Thailand to be a strong force of justice on behalf of all the children who are affected by poverty and exploitation.” (Compassion International Prayer of the Day Email for May 1, 2010)
Prayer: Father, I thank You that You are leading Your church to be an expression of Your justice in the earth! Today I pray for Your church in Thailand as they seek to bring justice on behalf of the impoverished children and that You would equip them to protect these precious ones from being exploited and oppressed. Father, I ask that You would cause Your justice to roll on like a river, that these innocent children would be kept safe from the evil one who would seek to steal their innocence. I pray that You would set Your angels around these ones and hold them safe in Your hands, that they would not fall into the hands of the wicked, but that they would be rescued by Your church and brought into Your Kingdom of love. I pray that You would empower Your church to bring aid to these children and their families, that they would not have to live in fear, and that they could rise out of the pit of poverty. I pray that You would provide for their every need so that these children would not fall victim to the prostitution and drug industry. I pray that You would lead parents to the Compassion projects and programs so that their children can receive an education, food, and the love of God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Key Scripture: 2 Corinthians 13:14 (NIV)
14May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
General Prayer Focus: LIFE/Abortion
Specific Prayer Focus: Healing for women who’ve had an abortion in Canada
Tidbit of Information: “As many as 80-90% of women testify that they struggle with depression and anxiety after having an abortion and MOST women say the quality of their lives is NOT enhanced but reduced after their abortion. Every study that we have seen indicates that most women deeply regret their abortion and wish they would have known 1) the stage that their baby was at when they were terminated and 2) what the potential emotional and psychological outcomes for their lives would be.” (Source)
Prayer: Father, today I bring to You in prayer the women in Canada who have had an abortion and I ask that You would pour out the grace of Jesus upon them. Father, where they feel weak and broken, would Your grace bring healing to their hearts and their bodies. Father, I ask that You would lavish Your great love upon them, that they might know Your mercy and forgiveness and be set free from depression and self-hatred. I ask that in their pain that they would turn to You and seek Your face and be washed clean and completely restored by the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross for them. Would You fill them with Your Holy Spirit and would they enter into fellowship with Him, receiving a revelation of Your heart towards them as they walk with the Holy Spirit in communion and friendship. I ask that You would minister to the void that they may be feeling after losing their baby and bring complete healing to their emotions, bodies, and any psychological effects of having an abortion. Would You set them free from shame and condemnation and replace it with Your love and a love for the lives of the unborn, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Key Scripture: Matthew 24:12-14
12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
General Prayer Focus: Media
Specific Prayer Focus: GOD TV
Tidbit of Information: ”As Christian media pioneers, Rory & Wendy Alec broke new ground for the Kingdom of God in 1995 when they established the first daily faith-based TV network in Europe. Since then GOD TV has grown in leaps and bounds – now reaching the globe with a new breed of life-changing programming. Today, almost half a billion people can tune in to GOD TV in the USA, UK, Europe, Scandinavia, Asia, Africa and Australasia…Year after year, by God’s grace and miraculous provision, GOD TV forges ahead to fulfill its divine mandate to reach ONE BILLION SOULS.” (Source)
Prayer: Father, as we continually draw nearer to the end of this age and the return of Your Son Jesus to the earth, we thank You for Your promise that the gospel of Your Kingdom will be preached in the whole world to all nations! At the same time though, we recognize the growing wickedness and darkness in our day, especially in the avenue of media. So, we ask that as the love of many grows cold that You would raise up GOD TV and other Christian media networks to fan the flame of love in the hearts of Your people and to ignite love for God in the hearts of the lost. We pray that You would use GOD TV in a mighty way in these end-times to spread the message of the gospel throughout the world and to be a catalyst for revival among the nations! We pray that the testimony of Jesus would go forth with power and shine like a great light in the darkness through this television network and that many hearts would be impacted as they watch. We ask that people would be compelled to switch to the GOD TV channel and fill their eyes and minds with a message that is righteous and pure, instead of filling themselves on the empty offerings of the world. We pray that there would be healings, signs and wonders, and millions of salvations as people watch and that You would increase GOD TV’s territory, allowing them to reach more and more people with Your gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Key Scripture: James 5:16 (NIV)
16Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
General Prayer Focus: The Church
Specific Prayer Focus: Power for Healing
Prayer: Father, I thank You that You have made healing power available to Your church through prayer and the working of Your Holy Spirit! I thank You that You sent Your Son Jesus to die for us on the cross, that by His stripes we could be healed. Today I pray that You would pour out Your Spirit in a greater measure that we may experience signs and wonders and miracles in the area of healing. I pray that Your church would begin to walk in greater authority, even as she walks in greater holiness. I ask that You would transform us and make us into a pure, spotless and righteous bride so that our prayers would have power and effectiveness for the healing of all sicknesses and diseases. I pray that there would be a great turning and repentance, first in Your church and secondly in the world as a whole, that as people confess their sins and pray for each other that healing would break out and it would be a testimony to Your goodness. Father, I ask that You would anoint Your church to bring healing to the broken, wounded, and dying people in the earth for Your glory and Your fame, that many might call upon Your Name and be saved. Let many understand the love and power that You demonstrated through the great work of healing You did on the cross as they experience it firsthand in their own lives here and now, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
American Health Care Bill

Key Scripture: 1 Timothy 2:1-4
1I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— 2for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
General Prayer Focus: LIFE/Abortion
Specific Prayer Focus: American Health Care Bill
Tidbit of Information: According to LifeNews.com, the proposed health care bill could “pay for perhaps hundreds of thousands of abortions” and the House is considering “passing the pro-abortion Senate health care bill and possibly using a procedural trick to do so that would pass the bill without taking a vote on it”. (March 14, 2010 Email Newsletter)
Prayer: Father, I thank You that it is Your desire for all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. Today, I pray for all those in authority who have the power to influence whether or not the proposed health care bill gets passed and I ask that You would give them supernatural revelation of Your truth. I ask that they would see the value of the life of an unborn baby and be compelled to protect that life, even if it causes repercussions for their reputations or careers. For the senators who are pro-life, I pray that You would fill them with strength in their inner man to not give way to the pressures coming against them to change their vote. Empower them to not compromise their beliefs and what they know to be truth – that life begins at conception and we must protect it!
I ask that You would hear the many prayers going up to You from all those who love and defend the rights of the unborn and that You would intervene in this situation in answer to their cries. Would You also hear the cries of the many babies who have been aborted and bring justice on their behalf, changing the political tide from pro-abortion to pro-life! I pray that no procedural trickery would advance the cause of abortion and that You would oppose the schemes of the enemy. Even as You are already changing the hearts of the people in the nation of America on the issue of life, would You cause it to make it’s way into the laws of this land as well. I pray for salvations in the government and for revival to sweep across this nation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Secure Homes
Key Scripture: Isaiah 32:17-18 (NIV)
17 The fruit of righteousness will be peace;
the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.
18 My people will live in peaceful dwelling places,
in secure homes,
in undisturbed places of rest.
General Prayer Focus: Family
Specific Prayer Focus: Secure homes
Prayer: Father, today I lift up to You in prayer the many families across the earth who are not currently experiencing peace or security in their homes. For the families that are broken or where there is abuse or fear, I pray that You would come with Your love and transform these parents and children and bring healing. Father, I ask that You would draw the hearts of moms and dads and children to You and cause them to desire righteousness so that they may experience the fruit of peace, quietness and confidence in their homes. I pray that You would come with the power of Your Holy Spirit to heal broken hearts and broken relationships so that they may feel secure and safe when they are at home. I pray that You would restore families to the way You designed them to be – whole and healthy – and that You would be at the center of families once again. Where there is strife and discord, would You bring peace and rest. Where there is pain, would You bring healing. Where there is separation and divorce, would You bring reconciliation. Where there is fear, would You bring peace and trust. Father, let the families of the earth be undisturbed places of rest that are filled with the presence of Your Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
Freedom!
Key Scripture: John 8:26 (NIV) and Isaiah 61:1 (NIV)
36So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners…
General Prayer Focus: Personal Freedom
Specific Prayer Focus: Freedom from spiritual bondage
Prayer: Father, I thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to the earth that He might bring me freedom from my bondage! I thank You for anointing Him with Your Spirit to proclaim freedom to the captives and to release prisoners from darkness!
Jesus, today I ask that You would break in to my life and set me free from everything that hinders me from loving You fully. I ask that You would set me free from the bondage of the enemy that keeps me weighed down in my heart and that You would deliver me from his oppression. Where I feel weak and broken and unable to conquer these struggles, I ask that You would come with Your power and strength and might and overcome the enemy on my behalf!
I confess that I have allowed some of this bondage into my life through my own sinful choices and I repent, asking for Your forgiveness and for You to cleanse me. I break my agreement with darkness and with the lies of the enemy and I ask for the grace to say “Yes” to Your ways and Your will for my life. Today I choose to listen to and believe the truth of what You say about me and to walk in the authority that You have given my through Your Name.
I thank You that You are the One who sets me free and that I am free indeed! Help me to walk out the freedom that You have given me and fill me to overflowing with Your Holy Spirit. For every bondage that You deliver me from, would You replace it with Your presence and Your love. In Your Holy Name, Amen.

Key Scripture: Acts 2:17, 21 (NIV)
17” ‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams…
21And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
General Prayer Focus: Revival
Specific Prayer Focus: University and College Campuses
Tidbit of Information: On November 11, 2009 a student awakening and move of the Holy Spirit broke out in a class at IHOPU and has been continuing in regular nightly meetings for the last four months. The community at the International House of Prayer is currently in the midst of a 40 day Daniel Fast to pray and intercede for revival to break out on university and college campuses around the world. Another ministry of IHOP, the Luke 18 Project, is geared towards raising up prayer furnaces on college campuses and training and equipping student leaders to establish and run these campus prayer gatherings to interceded and contend for revival.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for the move of the Spirit that You have poured out in recent months and which is spreading to several university and college campuses. I thank You for this gift of Your Spirit and we ask, even as You promised for the latter days, that You would pour out Your Spirit in greater measure upon all people – specifically the young men and women who are students. God, for the many universities and colleges that were founded upon Godly principles and foundations, I ask for a revival to come to these campuses that would remind them of their spiritual heritage in You. God, I ask that You would draw the hearts of not only the students, but also the teachers and professors, that they would be brought to salvation and be impacted by the power of Your love. I pray that You would send dreams and visions to these students and faculty and reveal Jesus as their Savior, that they would call upon His name. Amen!

Key Scripture: Isaiah 56:6-7 (NIV)
6 “And foreigners who bind themselves to the LORD
to serve him,
to love the name of the LORD,
and to worship him,
all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it
and who hold fast to my covenant-
7 these I will bring to my holy mountain
and give them joy in my house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and sacrifices
will be accepted on my altar;
for my house will be called
a house of prayer for all nations.”
General Prayer Focus: The Prayer Movement
Specific Prayer Focus: New Houses of Prayer being started
Tidbit of Information: The leaders of a house of prayer in Jerusalem, Succat Hallel, are currently helping start up new houses of prayer in Brussels, Belgium, eastern Turkey, and Dubai. They will be ministering at prayer summits and teaching seminars on birthing a house of prayer. They are also helping with houses of prayer in Israel, Afghanistan, and Egypt. In their recent email newsletter, they asked for prayer for great grace, laborers, joy, provision and protection in areas where there is persecution against Christians. (March 10, 2010 email)
Prayer: Father, I praise You for the work You are doing in the nations of the earth and how You are building Your house of prayer! I thank You for the leadership at Succat Hallel and for their ministry to the nations and their passion for furthering the prayer movement. Today I ask that You would truly give them joy in Your house of prayer and that You would pour out every drop of grace and provision that they need! I pray that You would bring them laborers to join in this effort – leaders, musicians, singers, intercessors, administrators – and that these people would be ones who have bound themselves to You in servanthood, love and worship. I pray for protection upon them as they travel and minister and that You would keep them safe from the schemes of the enemy. I ask that Your Holy Spirit would come on them in great power and anointing for the raising up of many houses of prayer throughout the earth, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

The Spirit of Adoption

Key Scripture: Romans 8:14-17 (NKJV)
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ…
General Prayer Focus: Spirit of Adoption
Specific Prayer Focus: Christian families who are adopting
Prayer: Father, I thank you that you have adopted us into your family and that you have called us your children! In the same incredible way that you have given us the Spirit of adoption to call you “Father”, I ask that today you would give this spirit to many in such a way that they would be moved to adopt children into their own families. God, I ask that many believers in Jesus would receive a revelation of your love for the abandoned and unwanted children of the world who are in desperate need of loving parents. I ask that you would cause your church to rise up in answer to the issue of abortion by declaring that she is willing to accept and embrace the babies that others would wish to eradicate.
Father, I also pray for those Christian families who are both now in the process of adopting a child or who have recently adopted, that you would send supernatural provision their way to pay for all the paperwork, social and legal services, and travel expenses. Lord, would you move on the hearts of people to give generously to these incredible families who are sacrificially opening their hearts and homes to these children. For those still in the process, I pray that you would go ahead of them to prepare the way, that any hindrances or barriers to the adoption process would be removed and that you would grant them divine favor with all officials and organizations who need to approve their applications. I also ask that you would grant these parents and families patience, trust, and deep stores of love – that through the difficulties and challenges of adopting, that their hearts would be kept in the palm of your hand, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
